Job summary

Wellspring Lutheran Services in Michigan is seeking a Foster Care Case Manager to help children achieve safety, stability, and permanency. You’ll partner with foster families, birth families, schools, courts, community providers, and child welfare professionals to ensure every child receives needed support and advocacy.

We’re looking for a Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field, strong assessment and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple services while showing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field.
• Experience working with children and families preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
• Strong assessment, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of community resources and family support services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for safety, well-being, and permanency for children in foster care.
• Coordinate services with foster families, birth families, schools, courts, and community providers.
• Visit foster homes, participate in school meetings, and attend court hearings.
• Support family engagement and access to resources for long-term success and reunification when appropriate.
• Document and communicate effectively to ensure voices of children are heard in decision-making.
