Job summary

Prince George County is seeking a Manager III, Social Services Case Management to oversee foster care, adoption and prevention caseloads. The role includes assessing client needs, counseling families, coordinating services with partners, and maintaining comprehensive records and reports.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in social work, human services, or related field.
• Possession of all requirements for position as specified by the Virginia Department of Social Services.
• Experience in local social services agency is preferred.
• Availability for after-hours on-call as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide case management to foster care, adoption and prevention and resource homes; coordinate services with community partners.
• Make referrals and coordinate services; conduct face-to-face interviews and home visits.
• Assess safety, prepare safety plans, and work with families and caregivers.
• Recruit, train, and approve/reapprove local resource homes; maintain records and prepare reports.
