Job summary

IllTip is seeking a customer-facing engineer based in Germany to bridge product and deployments. You will translate customer requirements into live production systems, design prompts, and ensure monitoring and safety guardrails are in place.

You will lead deployments, build third-party integrations via APIs and webhooks, and write robust code with logging. German language at B2+ is required, with experience in LLM apps and cloud fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Several years of experience turning customer requirements into production plans.
• Hands-on production experience with LLM applications and RAG.
• Strong coding skills for integrations, testing, and monitoring.
• Solid cloud fundamentals for deployment and production debugging.
• German language at B2 level or above.
• Experience with voice or telephony integrations.
• Familiarity with TypeScript or Python, SQL, and privacy considerations.

Job description

Candidates must be based in Germany. This is a customer-facing engineering role at a fast-growing company building AI communication products. You will act as the technical link between the product team and customer deployments, taking projects from initial requirements through to live production systems with monitoring. You will also turn what you learn in the field into improvements for the product.

• Lead deployments, including workflow setup, data flows, prompt design and safety guardrails.
• Build integrations with third-party systems using APIs, webhooks and standard authentication methods.
• Write and test features and supporting code with suitable monitoring and logging in place.
• Investigate and resolve production issues across calls, workflows and data, and ship fixes quickly.
• Produce reusable templates, deployment playbooks and implementation standards, and report recurring customer needs and product gaps with clear recommendations.

Requirements

• Several years of experience turning customer requirements into production implementation plans.
• Hands-on production experience with LLM applications, including prompting, tool use, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), evaluation and common failure modes.
• Strong coding skills for integrations and feature work, including APIs, webhooks, authentication, testing, monitoring and logging.
• Solid cloud fundamentals covering deployment, observability and production debugging.
• German at B2 level or above. Exceptional candidates without German may be considered.
• Experience with voice or telephony integrations.
• Familiarity with TypeScript or Python, SQL, workflow automation, monitoring and tracing, or privacy considerations.
