Job summary

Fenwick offers an internship in our Finance Department for Forward Deployed Operations focusing on Business AI and Innovation. The role provides hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying AI-native solutions to support how a leading tech law firm operates and grows.

Responsibilities include building AI-native workflows for business development and legal operations, translating business needs into architecture, and creating automated data pipelines.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college program focused on computer science, data science, industrial engineering, economics, or related quantitative degree.
• Hands-on programming experience (Python preferred) and familiarity with APIs, large language models, and development tools such as Jupyter Notebook or VS Code.
• Experience translating ideas into working prototypes and iterating based on results.
• Ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, or AWS (AWS experience is transferable) preferred.

The anticipated range for this position is: $1 - $1,500,000. Depending on the role, the actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including, without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. A discretionary bonus for eligible employees may also be available based on performance.
