Job summary

Laminar is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to embed with enterprise customers, learn their workflows, and ship working software on their systems. As a Member of Technical Staff, you'll work directly with founders and core engineering to scope problems and implement solutions using Laminar's platform.

You will design AI-powered Salesforce integrations, run demos, support data migrations, and turn field insights into product feedback, while maintaining strong communication with customer teams

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, including customer-facing work.
• Strong Salesforce development: Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and the Salesforce data model.
• Proficient in at least one general-purpose language (Python/TypeScript/Java).
• Experience with APIs, integrations, and enterprise data.
• Comfort with LLMs and AI tools in production.
• Clear communication with engineers and business stakeholders.
• High ownership; able to work with ambiguity and move fast.

The role

Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) are Laminar's engineers in the field. They embed with a customer's team, learn how their business really runs, and ship working software on their systems.

They scope the problem, build the solution with our platform, and get it into production. What is learned in the field shapes our product roadmap.

This is a Member of Technical Staff / Engineering role which works directly with the founders and our core engineering team.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, with time spent in customer-facing or consulting work.

• Strong hands-on Salesforce development: Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and the Salesforce data model.

• Solid skills in at least one general-purpose language, such as Python, TypeScript, or Java.

• Experience with APIs, integrations, and enterprise data.

• Comfort working with LLMs and AI tools in real production settings.

• Clear communication with both engineers and business leaders.

• High ownership. You are comfortable with ambiguity and move fast without waiting for direction.

Nice to have

• Salesforce certifications, such as Platform Developer II or Application Architect.

• Experience at a Salesforce SI, consultancy, or ISV.

• Background in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries.

• Experience building agents or LLM workflows (Agentforce, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar).

• Prior startup experience.
