Job summary

Closr is hiring Forward Deployed Engineers to work with AI-focused customers across the US. You will deploy and maintain integrations, data pipelines, and AI-powered features directly in client environments.

You will own deployments end-to-end, collaborating with product and engineering teams, and serve as the technical point of contact trusted by customers. This role offers substantial ownership in a rapidly growing AI-focused company.

Qualifications

• 1 to 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure), APIs and data integrations.
• Comfortable working with customers and explaining technical decisions clearly.
• Bonus: experience with LLMs/AI agents, Docker/Kubernetes, React, or startup environments.

Job description

We are hiring Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) for AI companies ranging from seed-stage startups to late-stage, well-funded teams. If you like writing production code and also enjoy sitting with customers to figure out what they need, this is the role for you.

Locations: San Francisco & Bay Area, New York, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, Washington DC, Texas, Seattle, Denver, Florida, plus several remote-in-US roles

Compensation: $120K to $240K base (most roles $160K to $270K), plus equity

Work setup: Mostly on-site, with hybrid and remote options available
