SailPoint Technologies Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to bridge customer needs and SailPoint capabilities. You will work across Solution Engineering, Professional Services, and Sales, applying your technical and business acumen to accelerate value.
Expect hands-on architecture work, proof-of-value demonstrations, and collaboration across teams to design scalable identity solutions with AI tooling. Occasional travel up to 15% is required.
About SailPoint SailPoint is defining the next era of identity security. Our unified, AI-powered platform seamlessly secures both the Human Fabric of your workforce and the Agentic Fabric of AI and non-human identities, completely eliminating organizational blind spots. Built on core principles like zero-standing privilege and contextualized risk, our platform transforms identity from a vulnerability into a strategic business advantage. Today, we are trusted by some of the largest, most complex organizations in the world to deliver intelligent, autonomous identity security at scale.
Operating at the intersection of Solution Engineering, Professional Services, and Product Management, the Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) leverages state-of-the-art AI tooling alongside deep implementation expertise and industry knowledge to build foundational solutions, solve complex problems, accelerate time-to-value, and decrease the cost of traditional services. You will partner with the sales organization to apply your technical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and business acumen in support of SailPoint’s growth objectives.
The Forward Deployed Engineering team is a high-impact, cross-functional technical group dedicated to bridging customer requirements and technical execution. Working closely with Solution Engineering, Sales, Product, Professional Services, and Customer Success, the team designs creative solutions to complex identity challenges and masters artificial intelligence and agentic workflows to drive customer success.
Our engineers are expected to use AI development tools as a core part of their daily workflow, not as a novelty. We expect you to use these tools to accelerate delivery, expand your scope, and raise the quality bar, while applying strong engineering judgment to review, validate, and own everything that ships under your name. Comfort with prompting, agentic workflows, and human-in-the-loop review of AI-generated code is a baseline expectation for this role.
