Job summary

Tiger Advisory seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) in the Washington, DC metro area for a hybrid role combining software and data engineering with Generative AI expertise. You will translate ambiguous customer needs into working technical solutions, building and deploying them hands-on across APIs, data pipelines, and AI workflows.

You will operate at the intersection of customers, data, software engineering, and Generative AI, frequently moving between discussions, architecture, IDEs,

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on software engineering experience.
• Strong data engineering fundamentals: ETL/ELT, data modeling, schema mapping, data pipelines.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and backend services.
• Hands-on experience building applications using LLMs / Generative AI.
• Experience with AI agents, RAG systems, tool-calling workflows, or AI workflow automation.
