BCG X is building a rapidly growing engineering practice that designs, deploys, and scales next-generation AI solutions for real-world business needs. As a Forward Deployed AI Engineer, you will work within BCG X and partner with clients across regions and industries, helping organizations become AI-led through end-to-end analytics and software development. This is an onsite role based in Manhattan Beach, CA.

What you’ll do

• Own the analytics value-chain end to end, including framing new business challenges, designing innovative algorithms, implementing scalable solutions, and deploying them into real environments.
• Build the next generation of AI solutions, from concept through delivery and adoption.
• Partner with clients across BCG regions and industries, including work tied to topics such as climate change, to design, build, and deploy new and innovative solutions.
• Develop and deliver thought leadership in scientific communities, including work published in papers.
• Lead conferences on behalf of BCG X.

What you bring

• Use software development practices and standards to create robust, maintainable software.
• Be actively involved across the software development life cycle.
• Experience guiding non-technical teams and consultants, including applying best practices for robust software development.
• Strength in optimizing and enhancing computational efficiency across algorithms and software design.

Compensation

The first year base compensation for this role is:

• Forward Deployed AI Engineer I: $110,000 USD
• Forward Deployed AI Engineer II: $145,000 USD
• Forward Deployed AI Engineer III: $160,000 USD
• Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer: $190,000 USD
