Job summary

Fortress Information Security seeks a Fortress FastLane Associate to rotate through four strategic areas in a fast-paced security and risk management environment. You will gain hands-on exposure to vendor control assessments, AI-powered monitoring, data integrity QA, and program management while contributing to core service delivery.

Upon program completion in 2027, associates transition into a full-time role aligned with business needs. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of risk management concepts, IT general controls, and basic audit terminology.
• Comfort learning and using AI-powered tools to support research, analysis, and reporting tasks.

• Attention to detail, sound judgement, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through four business areas, each on a quarterly basis, meeting the specific deliverables of each Rotation Lead's team.
• Deliver on workload, commitments, deadlines, and objectives while following SLAs and using appropriate tools.
• Curate and organize company information from diverse sources through data collection, analysis, and risk scoring.
• Collaborate with internal partners and third parties to enhance, mitigate, and resolve third-party risks.
• Represent Fortress as a key contact to clients and their third parties as rotations require.
• Support VCA, AI Monitoring, data integrity QA, and program management depending on rotation.
• Communicate effectively within rotation teams and with cross-functional partners.
• Track assigned work and meet deadlines across changing rotations.

The Fortress FastLane Associate is a rotational early-career role designed to develop the next generation of cybersecurity and supply chain risk management professionals. Associates rotate through four strategic business areas on a quarterly basis, gaining hands-on exposure to vendor control assessments, AI-powered monitoring, data integrity QA, and program management. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Fortress's core service delivery while building a broad, cross-functional skillset across the company's highest-impact teams. Upon successful completion of the program through May 2027, associates transition into a full-time role of their choosing — making this an exceptional launchpad for a long-term career in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through four business areas, each on a quarterly basis, meeting the specific deliverables and quality standards of each Rotation Lead's team.
• Consistently deliver on assigned workload, commitments, deadlines, and objectives while following established service level agreements in scope and leveraging appropriate tools, methods, frameworks, and professional standards.
• Curate and organize company-specific information from public, private, and proprietary sources through data collection, analysis, evaluation, and risk-scoring.
• Collaborate with internal partners and third parties to enhance, mitigate, and resolve third-party risks.
• Represent Fortress as a key point of contact to clients and their third parties as rotation assignments require.
• Support Validated Controls Assessment (VCA), AI Monitoring, data integrity QA, and program management activities depending on current rotation.
• Communicate effectively and professionally within each rotation team and with cross-functional partners.
• Track assigned work efficiently while meeting given deadlines across changing rotation assignments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new tools, teams, and workflows, and to adapt professionally to a new business area every quarter.
• Experience in, or aptitude for, a customer/client-facing environment.
• Solid understanding of risk management concepts, particularly around information security, IT general controls, and basic audit terminology and concepts.
• Comfort learning and using AI-powered tools and platforms (e.g., generative AI assistants, AI-based monitoring or security tools) to support research, analysis, and reporting tasks.
• Demonstrated professional communication and client relationship skills.
• Attention to detail, sound judgement, logical thinking, and proven ability to follow established scripts/consistency models, drive tasks to completion, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing business needs with periodic supervision.
• Strong computer skills, including MS Office and Google products (e.g., Word, Excel, Gmail) and other business software.
• Ambition, drive, sharp vision, and a great attitude.

Preferred Skills

• Proven working experience or strong academic/internship exposure to cybersecurity control reviews, operational risk management, information security, security research, or third-party/vendor risk management.

Education
