Job summary

Cheeseman Transport is seeking a Freight Handler for the 2nd shift in Fort Recovery, OH. Starting pay is $22.43/hour with scheduled raises to $27.03/hour after 3 years. The role runs Monday–Friday 1:30pm–10pm and offers paid weekly via direct deposit.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift to load/unload freight, securing cargo, and using scanners to update tracking. Forklift experience is a plus, with comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401k.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Able to read bills of lading.
• Able to physically transfer and secure cargo.
• Be willing to work all shifts (if needed) in a fast-paced environment.

Job Description

• Earn 5 vacation days after 90 days!
• Operate forklift to load and unload freight from dry van trailers
• Secure and unblock freight in back of trailers using nail guns, wooden blocks, and pry bars
• Use scanners to update tracking in system
