Job summary

EFCO is seeking a Formwork Checker to ensure precision of erection and mechanical drawings. You will review drawings, collaborate with engineers, and uphold drafting standards in a team setting.

You will mentor drafting staff, oversee workflows, and help resolve design challenges while maintaining project efficiency and quality. Prior checking experience and CAD proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of checking experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints.
• Proficiency in CAD software and drafting tools.
• Problem-solving mindset with excellent organizational skills.
• General construction knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review erection drawings for accuracy and quality in collaboration with engineers and drafters.
• Mentor and train drafting staff; recommend updates to materials and drafting standards.
• Review mechanical drawings to ensure manufacturing and warehouse readiness and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot design challenges by collaborating with engineers, warehouse teams, and management.
• Oversee drafting workflow and help optimize project efficiency.

What You'll Do:

• Ensure Drawing Accuracy & Quality (30%) – Review and assemble erection drawings for custom and standard projects, working closely with engineers and drafters.
• Mentor & Train Drafting Staff (30%) – Provide training, recommend updates to materials, and foster skill development.
• Review Mechanical Drawings (15%) – Ensure manufacturing and warehouse drawings meet accuracy and innovation standards.
• Troubleshoot & Collaborate (10%) – Work with warehouse teams, engineers, and management to resolve design challenges.
• Oversee Drafting Workflow (15%) – Assist in supervising drafting processes and maintaining project efficiency.
