Job summary

Skillit is seeking experienced carpenters in Cartersville, GA to build, set, and strip modular engineered formwork for commercial and civil concrete projects. This hands-on role is on-site at active construction sites, performing layout from drawings and ensuring safe, accurate concrete placement.

Candidates should have commercial or civil form carpentry experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a track record of working safely around concrete placement.

Qualifications

• Proven formwork carpentry experience for commercial or civil projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and layouts.
• Strong measuring and cutting skills with hand and power tools.
• Experience setting elevations and layout points with basic tools.
• Commitment to safety on active job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, erect, and strip modular engineered formwork systems on slabs, walls, columns, and footings.
• Interpret drawings to set layout points, align formwork, and control elevations.
• Measure, cut, and fit framing members and form components to tolerances.
• Install ties, hardware, shoring, and accessories; adjust during concrete pours.
• Coordinate with concrete crews and conduct quality checks after stripping.
