Job summary

Guerbet, a global leader in medical imaging, seeks a Formulation Technician to operate in a cGMP production environment, preparing pharmaceutical formulations and supporting filling teams. Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate understanding of cGMP and regulatory guidelines in a clean room.
  • Prepare media according to batch records and SOPs; verify identities.
  • Perform controlled transfers of API into formulation vessels.
  • Prepare and review process documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure sanitation and aseptic technique; maintain safety and productivity.
  • Assist in investigations of contamination or deviations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Formulation Technician operates in full compliance with applicable hygiene, safety, quality, and regulatory standards, and in alignment with the organization’s framework, company’s procedures, and the defined scope of responsibility the role is accountable for.

The Formulation Technician is responsible for the processing and preparation of pharmaceutical formulations within a cGMP regulated production environment. The role also provides operational support to filling team members, ensuring a smooth transition of materials and consistent execution of upstream and filling processes. The Formulation Technician will alsobe responsible forcompleting allnecessarydocumentationrelatedto the manufacturing processwhileadheringto cGMP andGDPguidelines.

YOUR ROLE
  • Demonstrate understanding of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and applicable regulatory guidelines (FDA, EMA, etc.) in a clean room environment requiring aseptic behavior.
  • Prepare media according to approved batch records, SOPs, and cGMP requirements. Verify material identity, lot numbers, expiration dates, and required quantities through inventory systems, such as SAP
  • Perform controlled transfers of API into designated formulation vessels or staging containers while adhering to segregation, containment, and safety procedures.
  • Prepare and review process documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with cGMP and GDP requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies and cGMP requirements. Sanitize hold tanks, formulation tanks, process equipment, utensils, and conduct general cleaning of formulation processing areas according to cGMP and sanitation procedures.
  • Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques during all operations within a controlled environment.
  • Ensurea highlevel of safety, quality, and productivity tomaintaina reliable supply of products to patients.
  • Promptly report andassistin investigationof any contamination events or deviations.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
Department Specific/Non-Essential Functions
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Validation, and otherdepartmentsininitiating and implementingprograms such asContinuousImprovement (Leanand 5S) andTotal Productive Maintenance.
  • Prevent excess wasteofproduct and/or components by operating the equipment in an efficient manner.
  • Report all safety and/or environmental incidents to management immediately.
  • Cross-training to perform tasks and roles outside of the primary responsibilities
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management
YOUR BACKGROUND

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • 1-3 experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing (preferred).
  • Compounding or formulation experience (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic processing, cleanroom standards, and sterile techniques.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and Microsoft Office.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand forextended periods of time.
  • Must be able to continuously lift a minimum of 50Ibs.
  • Ability tooperatean electric pallet jack.
  • Must be physically able to wearfull aseptic gowning, including gloves, mask, and other protective gear, for extended periods while working in a controlled cleanroom environment.
Cognitive Requirements
  • Strongverbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent reading comprehension and attention to detail for interpreting batch records and SOPs.
  • Strong mathematical aptitude foraccuratemeasurements and calculations.
  • Ability to read and understand military time isrequired
  • Mental and visual acuity for production of quality product.
  • Highly skilled in problem-solving anddiagnosticabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals
  • Demonstrates initiative and sound decision making while working effectively both independently and as part of a team.
