Job summary

Zing Recruiting in Olympia, WA seeks a Formulation Technician to support on-site production, overseeing ink preparation, color accuracy, and inventory coordination. Responsibilities

• Weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks to meet production schedules.
• Perform color matching and quality checks using X-Rite or similar equipment.
• Make ink adjustments at press to maintain color consistency and minimize downtime.
• Document production data, QC results, and corrective actions.
• Assist with scheduling and estimating ink requirements for upcoming jobs.
• Maintain inventory levels, including managing excess and work-off materials.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Follow all safety protocols and site requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Experience with ink mixing, color matching, or printing/packaging operations

• Strong understanding of quality control and press support processes
• Good math and measurement skills
