Job summary

Pacer Group in Rahway, NJ seeks a Formulation Scientist to support sterile product development and formulation composition. The role emphasizes hands-on experimentation, aseptic technique, and cross-functional collaboration to meet project timelines.

The ideal candidate has a science degree with 1–3 years of relevant experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently within a team. This is a one-year, on-site position at the Rahway site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree with 1–3 years experience depending on degree.
• Excellent hands-on laboratory skills in pharmaceutical formulation, sterile product development, or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-driven, meticulous, organized, and able to meet timelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute formulation and process-development experiments for sterile products.
• Prepare buffers and reagents; execute development batches using aseptic techniques and GLP practices when applicable.
• Support processing for solution or lyophilized formulations and other dosage forms.
• Conduct formulation characterization: pH, osmolality, viscosity, particle size, DLS, HPLC.
• Support stability and stress studies; analyze data and document conclusions.
• Draft and execute protocols; maintain clear laboratory records.
