Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support researchers with experiments, analyze biomolecules, and assist in formulation of lipid nanoparticles. The role emphasizes GLP practices and meticulous documentation.

The position is full-time, with typical hours and a focus on quality lab operations. Qualifications include a biology/biochemistry/chemistry degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) and hands-on experience with pipetting, HPLC, and related instruments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in biology/biochemistry/chemistry with relevant lab experience.
• 1–2 years of lab experience with a Bachelor's or <1 year with a Master’s.
• Understanding of industry practices and standards.
• Ability to troubleshoot and interpret experimental results.

Responsibilities

• Support researchers with experiments per company protocol and procedures.
• Examine and analyze peptides, nucleic acids, proteins and antibodies using wet chemistry and instruments (HPLC, etc.).
• Formulate and characterize lipid nanoparticles.
• Assist with formulation of biologics and nucleic acids and buffers as needed.
• Follow GLP and maintain good documentation in electronic lab notebook.
• Organize and clean lab and work environment.
• Follow documentation and safety practices.
• Ensure adherence to high quality and efficiency standards in lab operations.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities and Requirements

• Support research scientists with their experiments based on company protocol, method, and procedures
• Examine and perform analysis on peptides, nucleic acids, proteins and antibodies using general wet chemistry techniques and various instruments, such as: HPLC, Solo-VPE, MFI, AKTA, DLS, HI-AC, Viscosity
• Formulate and characterize lipid nanoparticles
• Support scientists with the formulation of biologics and nucleic acids and buffers, as needed
• Follow GLP and good documentation using electronic lab notebook
• Help with organizing and cleaning of lab and work environment
• Follow documentation and safety practices
• Ensure adherence to highest quality and efficiency standards in laboratory operations

Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or other related field with 1-2 years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Master’s degree in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, or other related field with < 1 year of relevant laboratory experience.
• Understanding of industry practices and standards.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and interpret experimental results.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with pipetting, pH, Uv-VIS and HPLC.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Additional Information

The position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Boston, MA are encouraged to apply.
