Job summary

4DMT is seeking a Research Associate, Formulation Development (Contract) to support pre-formulation and formulation development activities for biologic products. This on-site role reports to the Principal Scientist, Process Development in Emeryville, CA. Responsibilities include formulation screening, stability studies, and device compatibility testing, in a lab-based environment.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. degree, strong communication, and enthusiasm for science.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 0+ years of experience in biotech or related lab setting.
• Strong laboratory and data organization skills.
• Experience with preformulation, formulation development or stability studies preferred.
• Experience with biologics (proteins, antibodies, or gene therapy) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-throughput, plate-based formulation screening and stability studies.
• Support prefilled-syringe and other container/device compatibility assessments.
• Formulation analytics including Size-Exclusion Multi-Angle Light Scattering, Differential Scanning Fluorimetry, Dynamic Light Scattering, pH and osmo testing.
• Collaborate with Upstream PD, Downstream PD and AD/QC.
