Collabera Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking a Chemist II/III (Formulation Chemist) for a 24-month on-site contract. Responsibilities include executing formulation development for topical cosmetic/OTC products, maintaining notebooks, managing materials, and supporting scale-up activities. Strong GLP/GMP knowledge and fast-paced teamwork are essential.

The position offers a competitive hourly pay range of $40.00–$45.00 with standard business hours and onsite work in Irvine.

Qualifications

• 5+ years minimum experience in topical cosmetic/OTC formulation development for level III.
• Open to candidates with 2–5 years for level II.
• Working knowledge of topical cosmetic/OTC laboratory methods and familiarity with GLP/GMP.
• Hands-on experience operating laboratory equipment used in topical cosmetic/OTC formula development.
• Experience in pilot/scale-up activities would be a plus.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with a positive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Execute formulation development projects in collaboration with SkinMedica product development staff.
• Manufacture topical cosmetic/OTC skincare formulas and maintain lab notebooks/databases.
• Manage raw material inventories and vendor relationships.
• Conduct stability studies and analytical testing.
• Support pilot/scale-up activities.

Shift:Monday–Friday | 8 Hours per Day | Standard Business Hours

Pay Rate Range : $40.00 to $45.00 per hour

Key responsibilities

• This position will be responsible for executing formulation development projects in collaboration with staff scientists from the SkinMedica product development team.
• Key responsibilities include manufacturing topical cosmetic/OTC skincare formulas, maintaining laboratory notebooks and databases, managing raw material inventories and vendor relationships, conducting stability studies, performing analytical testing, and supporting pilot/scale-up activities.
