Job summary

Haren Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a capable carpenter to build and finish concrete structures on-site at Cantrell Flats Water Treatment Plant in Copperhill, TN. You will frame, pour, and finish concrete, work with wood/metal, and use various hand and power tools, following safety rules in outdoor conditions.

The role requires at least one year of construction experience, with potential overtime and a union-friendly environment. Strong teamwork and physical endurance are essential.

Company Overview

Haren Construction Company, Inc. specializes in water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and commercial and industrial types of construction.

Form carpenters will work on multiple tasks each day and use various skill sets as needed. They will receive assignments from the supervisor and must be able to perform tasks with minimal supervision.

Essential Responsibilities

• Creating framework, beams, foundations, and structures on-site using wood, metal, or concrete.
• Frequently use various hand and power tools with the ability to measure, cut, and shape the materials.
• Work closely with your team to form and pour concrete molds.
• Forming, Pouring, and Finishing concrete structures and walls. Ensure the proper safety measures and incident reporting procedures are followed, bringing any problems to the attention of the supervisor. Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position performs strenuous physical activities for long periods, under varying and adverse field conditions. This position must be able to lift and/or carry up to 80 lbs., stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out and above the shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull. May be required to work at elevated heights.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of experience in a commercial/industrial construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience tying and placing rebar
• Prior hands-on experience managing end-to-end concrete operations, including forming, pouring, and finishing.
