Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Brownstown, MI is hiring a Material Handler to join our warehouse team. The role features a third shift, weekly pay, and hands-on duties moving automotive parts using an electric sit-down forklift and RF scanner.

You will perform warehouse tasks, maintain accurate records, and support the automated packing system while ensuring safety and efficiency. Training is provided and benefits start after 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation and cycle counting.
• Maintain accurate picking, packing, audits, tote induction and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle paperwork related to warehouse operations (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Support maintenance of automated packing systems during core shift hours.

• Hourly Pay $21.42 per hour
• Overtime Pay $32.13 per hour
• Shift Premium: $1.50 per hour when working 3rd shift
• Schedule: Third Shift Sunday - Thursday 10:00pm - 6:30am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
