Job summary

Ryder is seeking a Material Handler at our Hagerstown, MD facility. You will operate forklifts, assist with loading and unloading, and participate in order picking and packing to support our distribution network.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to safety standards, with a third shift option and weekly pay. Prior warehouse experience and a valid forklift license are preferred for applicants.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse tasks including loading, picking, packing, shipping and receiving.
• Operate forklifts and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Audit and cycle count inventory as required.
• Process paperwork such as packing lists and bills of lading.
• Support maintenance of automated packing systems during shift.
• Complete duties as assigned within contract performance guidelines.

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $21.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $1.00 per hour when assigned to third shift
• Schedule: Third Shift (C) Sunday-Tuesday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, every other Wednesday 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
