Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator to support daily plans and priorities in the warehouse. The role involves communicating instructions to forklift operators and ensuring safe, timely unloading, stacking, and picking of goods.

You will operate propane forklifts safely, use WMS and barcode scanners to process movements, and assist with inventory cycle counts and general housekeeping. Punctuality and reliability are required to maintain smooth operations.

• Verify outbound orders and paperwork; stage and wrap products for shipment.
• Participate in inventory cycle counts and maintain housekeeping.

Job description

Serves as a liaison between the Warehouse Manager and Forklift Operators in communicating day-to‑day assignments and priorities. Responsible for the safe operation of propane forklifts and their designed attachments to perform unloading, stacking, and picking functions timely and accurately.

I. Supervision

• Comprehend daily plans, priorities, and daily assignments, and effectively communicate those to the warehouse crew.
• Ask questions and suggest solutions to problems.
• Display Leadership qualities.
• Serve as a positive role model and ambassador.
• Maintain security of assigned keys and security codes.
• Report inventory anomalies, breaches in facility security, and employee safety issues.
• Lead by example in order to set a positive tone and work attitude with warehouse staff.

II. Forklift Operation

• Safe and proficient operation of various forklifts and attachments.
• Load and unload trailers, containers, and railcars following all safety procedures.
• Daily use of Warehouse Management System, using barcode scanners/readers to process all product movements and transactions.
• Use of computers to check orders/receipts/inventory in high jump as needed.
• Complete all receivers thoroughly and accurately and turn in with all appropriate paperwork and attachments (including pictures if required).
• Stage and stack all products square and straight according to the requirements provided by each specific account and by the procedures.
• Accurately pull appropriate product from assigned locations.
• Verify all aspects of outbound orders prior to loading.
• Load all outbound orders following load diagrams specific to the product being shipped and various trailer limitations.
• Manually stacking and wrapping product for shipment
• Participation in inventory cycle counts.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager.
• Punctuality and regular attendance are mandatory.

III. Safety and Security

• Attend all safety/staff meetings, sign in, and participate.
• Complete and submit daily forklift safety check list.
