Job summary

Randstad USA in Lula, GA seeks a Maintenance Technician to keep our cold storage operations running smoothly. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts and other MHE adapted for cold environments, while supporting refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing systems.

This is a second shift role (2 PM–11 PM) with a salary around $56,000 per year, and includes benefits. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma and 1 year of experience, with a focus on safety

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in maintenance or repair roles.
• Experience with forklifts and material handling equipment preferred.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards.
• Ability to work in a cold storage environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and repairs forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment per OSHA standards.
• Maintains batteries and chargers per OSHA standards.
• Tests and evaluates equipment performance with voltmeters, ohmmeters and other testing instruments.
• Keeps preventive maintenance records in CMMS system.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and performs housekeeping duties as required.
• Willing to work flexible shifts and on-call.

Job description

Are you a skilled problem-solver ready to keep our cold storage operations running without a hitch? We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our cold storage warehouse team. Operating under general supervision, you will handle routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs for forklifts and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE) adapted for cold environments. In addition to maintaining our equipment fleet, you will provide general facility support—including cold storage refrigeration, dock levelers, electrical, and plumbing systems—to ensure smooth, uninterrupted temperature-controlled operations.

Salary: $56,000 - $56,001 per year

Shift: Second

Work hours: 2 PM - 11 PM

Education: High School

Responsibilities

• Inspects and performs routine repair of forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA and operational standards
• Maintain batteries and chargers in working order in accordance with OSHA Standards
• Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and any other testing instruments
• Maintains tools and machinery in good condition and use tools and equipment carefully as instructed
• Conducts tests of safety equipment to ensure OHSA and operational standards
• Maintains accurate preventive maintenance records within the CMMS system
• Keeps work area 6S’d (clean, organized, etc.), and performs housekeeping duties as required
• Performs other maintenance related work and job assignments as required.
• Able to work flexible shifts if required, including on call
