Job summary

Eastern Lift Truck Co. in Newark, DE is seeking a Forklift Repair Apprentice to learn the mechanics of material handling equipment maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

You will participate in a 6–9 month formal training program with mentorship, focusing on safety standards and customer interaction. As an entry level role, you will learn routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on forklifts and related equipment, while preparing for a career as a Field Service Technician in a family-style

Qualifications

• Some mechanical experience required.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Ability to learn quickly and follow directions.
• Clean driving record is required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Learn how to perform routine maintenance, diagnose and repair material handling equipment (i.e. forklifts, aerial lifts, pallet trucks, etc.).
• Complete required training certifications
