Job summary

Publix Super Markets is seeking a Forklift Operator in Florida to receive, pick, and ship inventory while adhering to GMPs and safety guidelines. You will load trailers with pallets, maintain shipping/receiving records, and report any unsafe conditions or equipment issues.

The role requires lifting 75+ pounds and flexibility to work all shifts, including nights and weekends. The position emphasizes accurate paperwork, teamwork, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrate GMPs and Pre-Op inspection discipline.
• Must demonstrate safe working habits.
• Must be able to define problems, utilize logic and draw conclusions.
• Must be able to lift in excess of 75 pounds.
• Must be able to work under stressful situations, able to accept change in an effort towards continuous improvement.
• Must have or be able to obtain a forklift license and operate a forklift.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have good human relation skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team member).
• Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays and extended periods of time.
• Ability to withstand repetitive bending, twisting, stooping, walking, standing and sitting.
• Ability to organize, prioritize and work under deadline constraints.
• Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision.
• Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to receive, select and ship inventory following procedures.
• Load trailers neatly and accurately with pallets.
• Maintain records and complete documents for shipping and receiving.
• Report unsafe conditions, damage to product, equipment and facility.
• Complete all paperwork required by the position.
• Other duties as assigned.
