Job summary

Food Authority in the United States is seeking a Forklift Operator to replenish inventory, load and unload materials, and rotate stock to maintain SQF compliance. This role reports to the Warehouse Manager and operates primarily on 1st shift with an hourly rate of $18.00.

The ideal candidate will have experience with Electric Jacks and Forklifts, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, lift heavy objects, and communicate effectively with team members and customers.

Responsibilities

• Required to rotate stock as necessary to maintain Safe Quality Foods (SQF)
• Fill pick slots as depleted by selectors to minimize shortages for the stores.
• Put away and store all frozen deliveries.
• Must be 18 yrs. or over
• 1 year experience with Electric Jacks and Forklifts required
• Previous experience unloading trucks required
• Proficiency in RF scanners.
• Must be able to work in cold environments and on concrete floors.

Hourly Rate: $18.00

FLSA: Non-exempt

Position Overview:

The forklift operator replenishes all products as selection inventory depletes. Forklift operators work with the inventory supervisor, warehouse leads and management to ensure inventory concerns are addressed, product replenished quickly for selectors, and the rotation of stock is completed daily.

The ability to respond quickly to sounds

The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces

The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
