Description

Staff Management | SMX is currently hiring motivated, safety conscious individuals to work as Production Associates and Forklift Operators at our client's facility in Asheboro, NC.

Pay Range: $14.75 - $18.35/hour

Production Associate: No prior experience required. This is an entry-level, assembly line position with opportunities for overtime and long-term career growth. In this role, you will work directly on fast-paced battery packaging and assembly lines, ensuring products meet strict high-volume manufacturing goals.

Forklift Operator: Unlike entry-level assembly lines, this role requires technical precision to transport components, raw materials, and finished pallets safety throughout high-speed production environments.

Job Responsibilities

Production Associate: Continuous, manual loading of components onto high-speed production lines; Hand-pack finished product into boxes, stack cases onto pallets and secure loads for transport; Perform quality checks to ensure product meets standards

Forklift Operator: Safely operate a sit-down truck to load and unload lines; proactively supply high-speed packaging and assembly lines with components to prevent downtime; Transport finished goods safely from the production floor, wrapping and stacking pallets securely; Utilize RF scanners to track product locations accurately

Production Associate: Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for the full duration of a10-to-12-hour shift; Able to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.; Repetitive use of hands and wrist for quick grasping, sorting, and packing; Able to go up and down stairs multiple times per day.

Forklift Operator: Minimum of 1-year driving experience on a sit-down lift in a warehouse setting; Must hold a valid state issued driver¿s license; Successful completion of physical and driving test; Capable to lift and move up to 50 lbs. manually when adjusting product pallets; Flexibility to work on a production line if not needed on a truck.

The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $14.75 - $18.35 per hour.This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law.An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.In addition to monetary compensation, we offer medical, dental, vision, life, and more.
