Job description

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Forklift Operator is responsible for ensuring that products are moved within our warehouse in a safe and efficient manner through forklift operation and physically loading/unloading trucks. The role also involves maintaining proper inventory, ensuring good housekeeping, and adhering to warehouse standards.

Responsibilities:
  1. Operate forklifts and other Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) safely and responsibly.
  2. Load and unload trucks efficiently.
  3. Maintain accurate inventory records.
  4. Ensure warehouse cleanliness and adherence to safety standards.
  5. Follow company procedures to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of forklift operation experience in warehouse or inventory environments (preferred).
  • Prior exposure to CPG and/or Food & Beverage industries (preferred).
  • Decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic understanding of computer and warehouse management systems.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb steps/ladders.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, varying temperatures, and weather conditions.
  • Certification to operate PIT equipment, such as forklifts and electric pallet jacks.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
