Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions is hiring a Material Handler in Montgomery, AL. The role focuses on warehouse operations, forklift driving, packing, and shipping within a safety-conscious environment.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of related experience, a valid forklift license, and strong communication skills. The position offers weekly pay, medical/dental/vision benefits, and opportunities for PTO after 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as a team member.
• Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Flexible schedule and shift work required.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Ensure accuracy in picking/packing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Handle day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines and safety protocols.
• Other duties as assigned.
