Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Minooka, Illinois is seeking Warehouse Material Handlers who will support a clean, organized facility and uphold safety as a priority while handling appliances and utilizing sit-down electric forklifts.

You will work second shift (2:30pm–11:00pm, with some Saturdays) and may have extended hours during busy seasons. Weekly pay, paid training, and strong benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k) with company match are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment.
• Punctual with good attendance record.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $21.50 per hour

• Additional Pay $0.50 per hour when working 2nd shift

• Schedule: 2nd shift Monday-Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm & some Saturdays may be required

• During busy season, could work 4:00pm - 4:00am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred

• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
