Job summary

Ryder is hiring Material Handlers in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for a 2nd shift role (4:45 pm - 3:15 am). Work includes forklift operation, picking and packing, and general warehouse duties.

You will join a safety-focused team with weekly pay, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and employee discounts. Prior warehouse or powered industrial truck experience is preferred; a valid forklift license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator license preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and push/pull up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to performance measurement guidelines of the contract.
• Accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading of trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Support automated packing systems during production shifts.
• Other duties as assigned.
