Ryder System, Inc. in Columbia, South Carolina is hiring Stand‑Up Forklift Operators to support warehouse operations. The role offers weekly pay, a solid benefits package, and opportunities to grow within a safety‑minded team.

You will operate stand‑up forklifts, load and move boxed pasta products, and follow safety procedures on a first shift with a 2 on/2 off pattern and 36 hour one week and 48 hours the next, in a continuous cycle. Excellent benefits start after 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid forklift operator's license certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work in a diverse environment.
• Punctual with good attendance.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs.
• Stand for long periods and follow health & safety methods.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• adhere to contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Responsible for accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Handle day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay: $19.66 per hour
• Additional Pay: $4.00 per hour extra, when working a weekend day
• Schedule: First Shift 6:00am to 6:00pm. 2 days on, 2 days off, and 3 days on. 36 hours one week and 48 the next, in continuous cycle - every other weekend will be a 3 day weekend off.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
