Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Material Handler in Shippensburg, PA to join a team focused on safe, efficient warehousing operations. You will operate sit-down forklifts and support packing, loading, and shipping processes in a fast-paced environment.

The role offers weekly pay, paid training, benefits start at 30 days, 401(k) with company match, PTO up to 80 hours first year, and employee discounts. Emphasis on teamwork and safety across shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ year related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a diverse environment.
• Ability to build professional relationships across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Adhere to contract performance measurement guidelines.
• Ensure accurate picking/packing, auditing, tote induction, staging, and loading/unloading trucks.
• Manage day-to-day warehouse paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
• Provide technical/maintenance support for automated packing system during core shift hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Forklift Operator / Driver Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $23.00 per hour
• Additional Pay: $3.50 per hour
• Schedule: D Shift (Nights), Friday, Saturday and Sunday and every other Thursday 5:00pm - 5:30am

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
