Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring Temp-To-Perm Material Handlers in Inwood, West Virginia. Weekly pay is offered and there is a pathway to permanent employment within a safety-first supply chain culture.

You will operate sit-down and high-reach forklifts and perform loading, picking, packing, shipping, and cycle counting. The schedule runs 7:00PM–7:00AM with a rotating weekly pattern; a forklift license and good teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year or more related warehouse experience preferred.
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Able to work in a diverse environment and maintain professionalism.
• Reliable with good attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse duties including loading, picking, packing, shipping and receiving.
• Operate forklifts and support cycle counting and inventory checks.
• Maintain accurate paperwork such as picking sheets and bills of lading.
• Provide maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hours.
• Adhere to performance guidelines and perform other duties as assigned.

Warehouse Forklift Operator Positions Pay Weekly

• Hourly Pay $21.00 per hour
• Additional Shift Pay: $1.00 per hour on 2nd shift
• Schedule: 7:00PM - 7:00AM; Rotating weekly schedule
• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, & Saturday (48 Hours)
• Week 2: Sunday, Wednesday, & Thursday (36 Hours)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse function, which may include loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and, cycle counting
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Responsible for the accurate picking and packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products and loading and unloading of trucks
• Responsible of dealing with day to day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
• Provide technical and maintenance support for different aspects related to the automated packing system during the core shift hour of production
• Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Performs other duties as assigned.
