Job summary

Schnellecke is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely operate sit-down forklifts and move automotive parts within a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will support assembly line delivery, inventory control, and strict safety standards.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work in shifts, and flexibility for overtime or weekend work. Prior RF scanner and basic computer skills are advantageous for efficient material handling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of sit-down forklift experience within the last year is preferred
• Proven ability to safely operate sit-down forklift equipment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and management
• Basic computer or RF scanner experience preferred
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends as required

Responsibilities

• Operate sit-down forklift equipment safely and efficiently in a production environment
• Pick automotive parts and deliver materials to the assembly line to support production flow
• Load and unload materials from trucks, racks, and staging areas
• Move, stack, and stage materials according to operational requirements and production schedules
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report any safety or maintenance concerns
• Accurately scan and track inventory movements using warehouse systems or RF scanners
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and standard operating processes
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas at all times
• Support inventory counts, audits, and additional warehouse tasks as assigned

Position Summary:

The Forklift Operator role is responsible for safely operating powered industrial trucks to support material movement within a fast-paced automotive logistics and production environment. This position ensures the timely delivery of parts to the assembly line, accurate inventory handling, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in a warehouse or automotive production environment with exposure to moving equipment and assembly operations
• Must be able to stand and work on foot for 8 to 10 hours per shift
• Frequent lifting, bending, walking, and reaching throughout the shift
• Exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial conditions
• Required use of Personal Protective Equipment, including steel-toe shoes or boots and safety glasses at all times on the shop floor
