Job summary

McCain Foods USA, Inc. in Easton, Maine is seeking a Forklift Operator - Utility for the night shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM).

You will safely transport ingredients, chemicals, and supplies, enter process data in SAP, and support food safety and production efficiency. You will join a manufacturing team dedicated to quality food products, with responsibilities spanning material movement, inventory accuracy, and sanitation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of three months of related experience or training.
• Ability to obtain and maintain McCain Forklift Certification.
• Basic computer skills with ability to enter data in SAP.

Responsibilities

• Create, release, and enter process order data within SAP.
• Transport supplies, chemicals, ingredients, and starch using powered industrial trucks.
• Maintain accurate material consumption and inventory within SAP.
• Ensure material staging areas comply with FIFO, FEFO, and food safety requirements.
• Operate forklifts and other powered equipment according to safety policies.
• Distribute materials to correct process orders following batch management guidelines.
• Empty rock trap totes as required.
• Perform daily and downtime sanitation activities.
• Verify inventories staged for processing.
• Unload chemicals and materials from transport trucks.

About The Role.

The Forklift Operator - Utility plays a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by safely transporting ingredients, chemicals, and supplies throughout the plant. This position supports our night shift operations and works a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM schedule, ensuring production materials are delivered safely, accurately, and on time. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate material movements and inventory transactions within SAP while supporting food safety, sanitation, and production efficiency across the facility.

What You’ll Be Doing.

• Create, release, and enter process order data within SAP.
• Transport supplies, chemicals, ingredients, and starch using powered industrial trucks.
• Maintain accurate material consumption and inventory integrity within SAP.
• Ensure material staging areas comply with FIFO, FEFO, and food safety requirements.

• Support production by distributing materials to the correct process orders following batch management guidelines.

What You’ll Need To Be Successful.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of three months of related experience and/or training.

• Strong communication and mathematical skills.
• Commitment to food safety, quality, and workplace safety standards.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work a 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM schedule.

The Forklift Operator - Utility role works closely with production, warehouse, and inventory teams to ensure materials are delivered safely, accurately, and efficiently to support plant operations.
