Job summary

Greif, a global leader in performance packaging, is seeking a Forklift Operator in Columbus, OH. You will operate routine production machinery and safely handle materials, while maintaining quality and logs for produced units.

Typically a high school diploma with up to 2 years of relevant experience is expected. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork and adherence to specifications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Willingness to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.
• Fundamental understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates routine production machinery in accordance with specifications provided.
• Safely load, unload, move, stack and stage sorted raw materials using a forklift or other power industrial equipment as necessary.
• Carry out routine activities that produces the required quality/quantity of material within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced. Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded material.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
