Quality Labor Management (QLM) is hiring a Forklift Operator for the Saint Rose, LA area. The role involves moving, loading, and organizing materials in a fast-paced warehouse while strictly following safety guidelines.

The candidate must have reliable transportation and be able to work outdoors in varying conditions. Responsibilities include operating forklifts, inspecting equipment, maintaining records, and assisting with vessel loading/unloading.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate forklifts safely.
• Experience in a warehouse environment preferred.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, move, stack, and transport cargo and materials.
• Handle containers, pallets, equipment, and other freight in accordance with operational procedures.
• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of cargo movement and inventory transactions.
• Assist with vessel loading and unloading operations as directed.
• Follow cargo handling procedures and ensure materials are properly secured.
• Support warehouse, dock, and yard operations as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to all port, OSHA, and company safety regulations.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors, crane operators, truck drivers, and other port personnel.
