Job summary

Republic Services is seeking a Forklift Operator to safely operate a forklift for stacking material, loading trailers, and moving containers across the facility. You will perform inspections and coordinate with the shift supervisor to complete daily assignments in a safe and efficient manner.

The role requires at least 1 year of forklift operation experience and OSHA forklift certification, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and teamwork to support our operations and customers.

Qualifications

• Must have forklift experience and pass OSHA forklift certification requirements (29 CFR 1910.178).
• Must follow safety policies and procedures; maintain a professional demeanor with coworkers and customers.
• Ability to manage time and adhere to work schedules while performing material handling.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post-operation inspections of forklift and equipment to ensure proper operating condition.
• Load trailers safely and efficiently; organize material in the warehouse.
• Coordinate with shift supervisor on daily assignments and priorities.
• Continuously monitor equipment condition to minimize downtime and maintain readiness.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
