Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Reusable Plastic Container (RPC) Forklift Operator to move containers and other materials through our warehouse, supporting production and loading customer trailers. You will operate Relogistics forklift equipment on the 3rd shift (Fri–Sun, 6:00 am–6:30 pm) at 1800 North Polk St, DeSoto, TX 75115, with competitive pay and opportunities for overtime.

• Hand-sort pallets when required and repair pallets as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Overview

As a Reusable Plastic Container (RPC) Forklift Operator, you'll get to move containers and other materials through the different areas of the warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. Forklift Operators also get to wear many hats within the site! You may also sort pallets by hand and repair damaged wooden pallets by hand in some locations. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site!

Hourly Pay:

$18.00/hr

Shift(s):

3rd Shift: Friday - Sunday 6:00am - 6:30pm

What You'll Do

• Move sorted container stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment
• Forklifts must be operated with extreme care, adhering tocompany safety procedures at all times
• Hand-sorting wooden pallets, when required
• Repairing wooden pallets using a nail gun, when required
• Maintain a clean & safe working environment

What You'll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift certification preferred
• 1-3 years of forklift experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
• Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Willing to work overtime as needed

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths
• The noise level in the work environment is dependent on location
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this jobinclude,close vision, distance vision and color vision
• May be required to lift pallets by hand, each weighing between 50 lbs. to 75 lbs
