Job summary

Clow in Merrifield, MN is hiring a Forklift Operator in the Press Room to move materials, support machine operators, and operate a tablet-based dispatch system. This hands-on role requires reliability, safety awareness, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.

Starting pay is $23.30 per hour with an additional $3.50 shift differential on the listed shift. 6–12 months of relevant experience and the ability to obtain forklift certification are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and retrieve empty containers to keep production areas supplied.
• Retrieve press tools from storage and deliver them to presses, assisting with positioning as needed.
• Use scales to count parts by weight and verify quantities as requested.
• Sort, weigh, and move scrap materials into appropriate containers and trailers.
• Document scrap weights to meet transportation requirements.
• Maintain forklift batteries and use battery-handling equipment as needed.
• Communicate with machine operators, department leads, and supervisors to coordinate requests.
• Follow material storage, container handling, and workplace safety procedures.

About the Role

As a Forklift Operator in the Press Room, you’ll transport materials, products, empty containers, and press tools to keep production moving. You’ll use a tablet-based dispatch system to locate jobs and respond to requests from machine operators and department leads.

Accuracy, communication, and safe forklift operation are essential. You’ll also help manage scrap materials, track weights, and support operations across multiple production departments as needed.

Shift Available

• Shift 21 | Friday–Sunday | 6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. | $23.30 per hour starting pay — includes an extra $3.50 per hour shift differential

Candidates with relevant experience may qualify for a higher starting rate.

What You'll Do

What are the hours for each shift?

Shift 01: 6 am – 2 pm Monday through Friday
Shift 11: 6 am – 4 pm Monday through Thursday
Shift 13: 4 am – 2 pm Monday through Thursday
Shift 14: 2 pm – 12 am Monday through Thursday
Shift 15: 5 am – 3 pm Monday through Thursday
Shift 16: 3 pm – 1 am Monday through Thursday
Shift 21: 6 am – 6 pm Friday through Sunday

Shift premiums are assigned based on the work schedule.

Will I have to work overtime?

Due to the nature of our work and the need to coordinate schedules with vendors, customers, and business partners, required overtime and schedule changes may occur as needed.
