Northwest Hardwoods, Inc. is looking for a Planer Infeed Forklift Operator to move lumber through the planer and production areas with safety and efficiency. You will feed bundles, load and unload, inspect loads, and keep material flowing across a fast-paced sawmill environment.

You should be dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working physically active shifts. The role requires teamwork and adherence to company safety policies.

Qualifications

• Must be reliable, safety-minded and able to work in a fast-paced mill.
• Forklift experience in lumber/mill environments preferred.
• Ability to work around noise, dust and temperature changes.
• Experience with Hyster 300 forklift operations is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Operate a forklift safely to move lumber through planer and production areas.
• Feed bundles into the planer infeed system while maintaining flow.
• Load, unload, and stage lumber in designated areas.
• Inspect bundles for placement, stability and identification.
• Ensure lumber is aligned for planer operation and moved efficiently.
• Communicate with team to minimize downtime and keep material moving.
• Monitor inventory and locations to have material ready as needed.
• Stack and organize lumber in storage areas and follow procedures.
• Perform routine forklift inspections and report issues.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area around planer and yard.
