Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator for our Nicholasville, KY distribution center. You will operate industrial, stand-up forklifts to move product and place it in designated areas, sometimes at heights over 20 feet.

The role requires safety focus and accurate data entry into our system. Starting pay is $21.37 per hour plus a $1.00 cooler/freezer differential. Schedule is Sunday–Thursday, 6 pm start, with comprehensive benefits starting after 60 days and opportunities for

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous forklift experience and RF Utility preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at work level.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve and transport product to assigned slots.
• Identify product to be selected, sorted, and placed.
• Follow aisle specifications for product sorting and placement.
• Enter assigned product for each shift into the system.
• Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products and equipment.
• Other duties may be assigned.

The Forklift Operator uses industrial, powered, computer-equipped standup forklifts to move materials throughout the distribution center and place product in designated areas. You will need to be comfortable working at heights of 20 feet or more at times.

• Pay Rate: $21.37 per hour plus $1.00 for Cooler/Freezer Differential

What you'll do as a Forklift Operator:

Qualifications you'll bring as a Warehouse Teammate:

• At least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience operating a forklift and RF Utility (preferable, not required).
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
