Job summary

XPO is seeking a Forklift Operator in Jonesboro, AR to efficiently sort, load and unload freight on a dock. You’ll operate pallet jacks and forklifts, secure cargo, and use handheld devices to track shipments while adhering to safety policies. This role requires 18+ and flexibility for various shifts.

The position offers a 22.27 USD per hour starting wage with an afternoon shift (15:00–21:00) and eligible benefits for those working 30+ hours weekly. This is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt role.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to perform basic math with or without a calculator.
• Available to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, nights and weekends.
• Dock or warehouse experience in transportation.
• Forklift experience in freight/LTL environment.
• Experience loading and unloading trailers.
• Strong attention to detail and drive to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight.
• Use pallet jack and forklift as appropriate.
• Secure freight inside trailers with suitable tools.
• Follow safety policies and work efficiently.
• Scan and track shipments on handheld devices.
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods.

• Be at least 18 years of age

• Pay starts at $22.27/hour
• Afternoon Shift, Day/Hours: 1500-2100

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies
• Work in a safe, efficient manner, adhering to company safety policies
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments
• Work on a dock that is not climate-controlled for extended periods

Forklift Operators are required to:

• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 70 lbs.)
• Safely walk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery
• Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary
