Job summary

48forty Solutions is seeking a Forklift Operator in Salt Lake City, UT to move pallets and support production in a warehouse setting. The role includes loading and unloading customer trailers, standing and sitting forklift use, and occasional pallet sorting or pallet repair.

1st shift runs Sunday to Wednesday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with other shifts available. The position offers $19.00 per hour and requires a High School Diploma or GED; forklift certification is preferred and 1–3 years of

Responsibilities

• Move sorted pallet stacks to staging areas using Relogistics forklift equipment.
• Forklifts must be operated with safety procedures at all times.
• Hand-sort pallets when required.
• Repair pallets using a nail gun when required.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.

1st Shift Sunday - Wednesday 500AM - 330PM

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll get to move pallets and other materials through the different areas of the warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. Forklift Operators also get to wear many hats within the site! You may also sort pallets by hand and repair damaged wooden pallets by hand in some locations. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site! Location does do 45% stand up forklift 45% sit down forklift and 10% Pallet Sorting

Hourly Pay

$19.00/hr.

• Forklifts must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times
• Hand-sorting wooden pallets, when required
• Repairing wooden pallets using a nail gun, when required

• 1-3 years of forklift experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
• Repetitively adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and sit in a forklift for entire shifts of varying lengths

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include, close vision, distance vision and color vision
