Job summary

48forty Solutions, LLC is seeking a Forklift Operator in East Bernstadt, KY to move pallets and materials through the warehouse and support production needs. This role also involves loading/unloading trailers and performing pallet repair as required, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The position offers hourly pay and a 4th shift schedule; certification is preferred and overtime may be required to meet demand.

Qualifications

Overview

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll get to move pallets and other materials through the different areas of the warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. Forklift Operators also get to wear many hats within the site! You may also sort pallets by hand and repair damaged wooden pallets by hand in some locations. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site!

Hourly Pay:

$17.00/hr.

Shift(s):

4th Shift: Thursday 12:00 am - 6:00 am & Friday – Sunday 6:00 pm - 6:30 am

What You'll Do

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment
• Forklifts must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times
• Hand-sorting wooden pallets, when required
• Repairing wooden pallets using a nail gun, when required
• Maintain a clean & safe working environment

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift certification preferred
• 1-3 years of forklift experience preferred, not required
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
• Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Willing to work overtime as needed

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate

• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required (eye protection, ear protection is mandatory at several locations, safety shoes)
