Job summary

Relogistics Baytown is seeking a Forklift Operator to move pallets and materials, load/unload trailers, and support production across sites. You will sort pallets by hand when needed and repair damaged pallets, maintaining a clean, safe workspace.

The role requires forklift operation, safety adherence, and good communication. Overtime may be required; certification is preferred, with strong preference for warehouse/logistics background.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• 1-3 years forklift experience preferred, not required.
• Previous warehouse/logistics experience is strongly preferred.
• Willing to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Move sorted pallet stacks to staging areas using forklift equipment.
• Operate forklifts safely following company procedures.
• Hand-sort pallets when required; repair pallets as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members.

Job description

As a Forklift Operator, you’ll get to move pallets and other materials through the different areas of the warehouse, supporting production requirements in those areas, as well as loading and unloading customer trailers. Forklift Operators also get to wear many hats within the site! You may also sort pallets by hand and repair damaged wooden pallets by hand in some locations. This role is vital to the success of our Relogistics site!

Hourly Pay

$19.50 - $20.50/hr

• Move sorted pallet stacks to appropriate staging area using Relogistics forklift equipment
• Forklifts must be operated with extreme care, adhering to company safety procedures at all times
• Hand-sorting wooden pallets, when required
• Repairing wooden pallets using a nail gun, when required
• Maintain a clean & safe working environment
• High School Diploma or GED
• Forklift certification preferred
• 1-3 years of forklift experience preferred, not required
• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, lumber, carpentry, lumber, welding, roofing, and/or construction is strongly preferred
• Willingness to work in a labor intensive environment
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Willing to work overtime as needed

• Ability to work in extreme conditions to include, but not limited to, elements, heat, cold, and air particulate
