Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. is seeking a Forklift Operator to oversee loading and unloading materials using a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and verify loads against manifest.

Responsibilities include pulling routes from manifest, staging freight, loading/unloading trucks, operating warehouse equipment safely, and complying with TSA and OSHA guidelines. Requires high school diploma and 1 year warehouse experience; English required.

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• 1 year warehouse experience preferred.
• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap material.
• Experience using an RF scan gun required.
• Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required.
• Must read and comprehend work instructions well.
• Must lift 50+ lbs and work with others with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Material handling may include picking, packing, scanning, kitting, counting products, and similar duties.
• Ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately.
• Identify and annotate OS&D (overages, shortages, damages).
• Safely operate warehouse equipment such as forklift and pallet jacks.
• Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast-paced environment.
• Maintain a safe and secure work environment following TSA and OSHA guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description Summary:

The Forklift Operator oversees loading & unloading materials utilizing a hand truck, reach truck, or forklift. They are to maintain a clean and safe work environment and identify any discrepancies in receiving loads against manifest.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist Drivers to load and unload trucks
• Material handling may include one or more of the following: picking, packing, scanning, kitting (as applicable), counting products and other like duties
• Must ensure timeliness, packaging, and systems work is completed accurately
• Identifying and annotating overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D)
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklift, pallet jacks, etc.
• Read and follow detailed and defined instructions in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure safe and secure work environment including all TSA and OSHA guidelines

• Previous warehouse experience preferred - 1 year experience
• Must be able to use forklifts, pallet jacks and banding/shrink wrap material
• Experience using a RF scan gun required
• Previous forklift certifications preferredMust be able to work overtime as needed, occasional weekends
• Must be able to read and comprehend work instructions well
• Must have the ability to work well with others
• High attention to detail required
• Must have the ability to work well with others with little supervision
• Must be able to lift 50+lbs. unassisted
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English

Physical Requirements:

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires employees to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend and lift objects above their head. Employees must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

SCHEDULE:

Tues Sat (2nd shift)1:00 PM – 9:30 PM $23.50 (3rd Shift) 6:30pm - 3am Tues – Sat $24.00

Pay Range:

$23.50 - $24.00 hourly *The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
