Job summary

Gourmet Foods International is a specialty foods distributor based in New Jersey, seeking a Forklift Operator for night shifts to support cold storage and warehouse operations. You will move, store, and ship palletized products with emphasis on safety and accuracy.

This position plays a critical role in inventory movement, order fulfillment, receiving, and shipping operations while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and productivity.**What does your day look like? Some of your duties may include:*** Safely operate stand-up forklifts, sit-down forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment* Load and unload over-the-road trucks and ocean containers* Receive, stock, move, and replenish palletized products within warehouse racking systems* Pick, pack, and stage customer orders with a strong focus on accuracy and efficiency* Build, wrap, sort, and transport pallets and packages throughout the facility* Utilize RF scanning equipment to track inventory movements and complete transactions* Verify product counts, locations, and order accuracy* Follow all food safety, quality, and warehouse safety procedures* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment* Assist with inventory and warehouse operations as needed**Things you need to be able to do:*** Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment or willingness to become certified* Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy* Ability to follow directions and work independently with minimal supervision* Strong communication and teamwork skills* Ability to meet productivity and quality expectations in a fast-paced environment* Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, carry up to 50 pounds, and push or pull up to 30 pounds of force* Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift* Ability to ascend and descend steps and safely navigate warehouse environments* Ability to work in multi-temperature environments ranging from -10°F to 65°F* Consistent, regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
